第３回　長文読解

Jimmy's New Car.

　Jimmy is eight years old. He likes cars very much. He likes sports cars best. Yesterday, Jimmy and his parents went to buy a new car. At the car shop, Jimmy saw a small blue sports car. He said to his parents, "I like blue, and I like small cars, so let's buy this one!"
　But Jimmy's mother wanted a red car, and his father wanted a big car. So they bought a big red car. Then they went home in the new car. Jimmy's parents were very happy, but Jummy was sad. "Don't you like our new car?" his mother asked. "Well, I wanted the small blue sports car," Jimmy said.
　Today, Jimmy's father went shopping at a department store. When he came home, he gave a small box to Jimmy. Jimmy opened the box. "Wow! Is this for me, Dad?" It was a toy -- a very small blue sports car. Now everyone is happy.
